Deputy Head of Sound

Sister Act - JPJ Audio / Crossroads Live

2024-2025. Australian tour.
Worked on seasons at the Regent Theatre, Melbourne; QPAC's Lyric Theatre, Brisbane; the Festival Theatre, Adelaide; and the Crown Theatre, Perth.
Supported the production in system patching; management of comms, video, networking and personal monitoring systems; radio monitoring and fitting microphones; and mixing performances line-by-line.

Sound designer

Zorba's Last Dance - Tom Petsinis

2024. La Mama Courthouse.
Collated and created atmospheres and sounds to support a strongly humanistic production with a cappella singing throughout. The design featured environmental field recordings in addition to created 'breaths' and sourced material. Sold out season.

Spamalot - UMMTA

2023. Union Theatre, The University of Melbourne.
Designed and operated sound, mixing a live band and 16 cast members. Contributed original sound effects and was presented with a Union House Theatre award for 'Outstanding Sound Design'. The Dialog: "The sound design was also hilarious and well executed [...]."

Mixed a six piece band in a theatre-like performance with original music.

2023. Union Theatre, The University of Melbourne.
Designed and operated sound for 6 new musical theatre excerpts, mixing a live band onstage with 40 cast members. Was presented with a Union House Theatre award for 'Outstanding Sound Design'. The Dialog: "The band and vocal mix were outstanding [...]."

Abnormal: An intermission - Kezia Collishaw

2023. Testing Grounds Emporium.
Created a seamlessly looping soundscape for a temporary installation inspired by the Rachael Mead poem Stand.

Charlie's Cultish Christmas - UMMTA

2023. Solidarity Hall, Trades Hall. Melbourne Fringe Festival.
Provided advice and completed sound system set up for a new musical theatre show with limited time and technical facilities.

Stage manager

Therapy in Hell - Fake Newspaper Theatre

2021. Presented over Zoom. Mudfest 2021 (Melbourne University arts festival).
Stage-managed a new work about a burnt out therapist sent to the underworld. Helped the team navigate through lockdowns and transition to performing online. The production earned a Mudfest award for 'Most Outstanding Performance'.

Consoles: DiGiCo SD and Quantum (standard or theatre software), Midas M32, Yamaha QL, Allen & Heath SQ and QU. Can learn new devices quickly.
Wireless: Sennheiser Evolution Wireless G4/G3 (microphones, IEMs). Fitting headset and hairline microphones to performers. Wireless coordination.
Software: Ableton Live, QLab 5, iZotope RX, TheatreMix, WaveTool.
Networking: Experience working with Cisco managed switches, VLANs, etc.
Video: Patching and use of SDI and analog video feeds, along with camera and projector configuration.
Comms: Configuration of Clear-Com HelixNet and Riedel Bolero systems.
Personal monitoring: Experience working with Roland REAC / M-48.
Training: Shure Pro Audio 1-3, Shure Wireless Masterclass, Dante Levels 1-2.
